Princess Anne opened a new logistics 'Super Hub' at Palletforce Limited in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and attended the dedication of the Townswomen's Guilds Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum today, October 5. Anne is Patron of the Townswomen's Guilds, but as the second article covers both engagements I post it here instead of at her patronages thread:

Court Circular 23rd October:
The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon arrived at Antananarivo Ivato International Airport, Madagascar, and was received by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Madagascar (His Excellency Mr. Timothy Smart).

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, was received later by The President of the Republic of Madagascar at Iavoloha Palace, Palais d'Etat, Iavoloha, Antananarivo.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening presented Awards at Iavoloha Palace to young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.

Afterwards Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, was entertained to Dinner by The President of the Republic of Madagascar at Iavoloha Palace.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Madagascar.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited Feedback Madagascar Projects in Soatanana and Faliarivo.

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended a Service of Thanksgiving to commemorate the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship between the United Kingdom and Madagascar, at Saint Laurent Anglican Cathedral, Ambohimanoro, Antananarivo.

Her Royal Highness his evening attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Madagascar (His Excellency Mr. Timothy Smart) at le Grand Hotel, 46 Rue Colbert, Antsiranana, Diego Suarez.



 
Court Circular 25th October:
The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Madagascar.

Her Royal Highness this morning laid a wreath at the Diego Suarez Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery, Polygone III Route De Ramena, Antsiranana.

The Princess Royal later visited the Association Européenne pour l'Etude et la Conservation des Lémuriens Lemur Project at Sahamalaza Îles Radama National Park.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, this afternoon opened the Fotsimaso Interpretation Centre, la Direction Régionale de l'Environnement, Ecologie et des Forêts, Antsohihy.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, later visited a project in Mandena Village.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Madagascar at the Residence in Antananarivo.

Her Royal Highness later visited the Bureau Municipal d'Hygiène, Rond-point, Isotry, Antananarivo.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon departed from Antananarivo Ivato International Airport for the United Kingdom.

I'm not quite sure if it's the 12th yet in Britain, but here in New Zealand it is; therefore Princess Anne and Timothy Laurence have been married 25 years, a huge congratulations to them both! I would love to see a special photo for the occasion, but...
