Grandma Menchu was there in the audience and as far as I've seen, one of Letizia's sisters, probably Erica.
Felipe's speech is already available on the net (casa real):
http://www.casareal.es/esp/cronicas/...679&padre=3623
The end of it is absolutely beautiful, he says what he and the Princess want to transmit to their children (yes, children!)...

Letizia looked wonderful and her dress, which is such a lovely, dusky rose pink color, complements her skin tone. I would love to see it without the coat.
The PoA Awards - what a festival of culture and a celebration of scientific and social possibilities! It's a great event and I was glad that I was able to read Felipe's speech in English plus the el pais article -they provide a glimpse into how he sees the world and what he hopes for it. (Somehow I think it is probably safe to say that Letizia probably shares the same vision?)
Thanks to all who have posted articles and photos that have provided a better sense of the significance of the awards.

They are in the Hotel of The Reconquista. After the act in the Campoamor there is a great receipt and a cocktail in the Hotel. There are never images of this act, are more private, as the rest of luncheons.
But the televisions establish themselves in the hotel and some of the winning ones grant interviews.

Little pity that Letizia doesn't stay. One day is too little as for me
But as I saw before she looks wonderful today in this lovely pink dress and lilac/light pink coat.
Sofia looks lovely too.

This year prince of asturias awards was special for me.It was the first time my country flag was there.it is almost behind the princes in most of the afternoon pics. Thanks to MR. REZA DEGHATI and his wonderful photos for National geography. After LEGION D'HONNOUR he is now got prince of asturias award.
I think the princess looked stunning.i really love her dress with or without the coat.the prince was handsome and proud of his foundation.you could see him get excited and moved his lips in a special way.
I think Paul Aster speech was absoulately wonderful.where can i find it?
thanks for pics and articles.

O.k. maybe I shouldn't point this out...but I thought it was a little funny. This picture could totally be in the Caption This! thread...That lady behind Menchu, and then Menchu herself! What is she doing? Snacking on something???

Yes, it is a pity, these visits always are nice and leave enterteining anecdotes.
I imagine that they were thinking that probably the act was too much for her. It is a long act with several hours of foot crossing the village, with all the neighbors around to greet, several activities, later a luncheon. Besides, these days the weather is not very good and if it rains everything can be done furthermore weighed. The Prince goes to the act and returns directly to Madrid.
