King Felipe's Ex-Girlfriends

Does anyone know if Felipe has ever dated Princess Haya of Jordan? Do you think that Haya has ever liked Felipe?
Some say they've dated, others that they're only friends. She's very attractive and intelligent (she attended Oxford). They would make a cute couple. I think.

(She really things that she's a star now )

Acording with spanish mewspaper El Mundo she was very discret and didn't spoke with the press, she was introduce to the public as a fashion expert and publicist.
She only stay half-hour in the show and the organizers said that she was very kind with them.

In ABC and La Razon, two important newspaper in spain also is a report of Eva's visit.
Like in El Mundo they said that she arrived with 4 bodyguards that pushed back with some violence the "paparazzi". She left the airport in a van with dark glasses going to the Hotel La Moraleja (like some had said, she didn't stay in the house of Felipe friends).
She demands that the local of the event had enough security for the press don't boder her with questions and for them don´t take too many fotos of her. She arrived to the event Half-hour later.
The impression that she passed to the assistents of the event was cold and distante.
It seems that she gain 12000 euros for being part of the jury .

Eva don't talk with the press directly but in their presence (ignoring then of course) she talk with some members of the rest of the jury in the backstage of the show. The few question that she answer to then came in this week spanish gossip magazines. I've just read some of then and i'm gonna resume for you:

-she sid that she wasn't nervose althoug the press was being realy disturbe by thet press; that she wasn't a person to media interess anymore

-she said that Norway is her country and she loves Olos very much and that althoug she had live some there years, Spain isn't like her home.

-he left her studies in spanish a long time ago and that she don't exercise her spanish anymore (says that isn't necessary to her work)

-her work in publishing is now the most important thing in her life and that she don't travel too much for dedicate her time to her work

-when some aske her if she gonna see some of her spanish friends, she respond had came to work and that she was leaving spain imediatly (the press follow her and she left Madrid going to Nice where is happening a publicitary festival.

Nobody liked her? It seams to me that Prince Felipe liked her.
It also seams to me that she is free to travel and visit other countries as she pleases. She didn't have to say no to the invitation just bc she once had a relationship with the heir to the throne of that country.

The woman, identified only as Christine from a Berlin family of nobles, is on a six-month exchange programme in Madrid where she is studying economics and Spanish, the magazine Frau im Spiegel said Thursday.


She met the 35-year-old prince at a soiree a few weeks after she arrived in the Spanish capital three months ago.


Since then, the magazine claims, the pair have been meeting each evening in the apartment she shares with a fellow student or at theatres and night clubs.


"He's really spontaneous and full of humour, and he's a great dancer," she told the magazine. In reference to his breakup with a Norwegian model, Christine said he "still seems to be digesting it."


"I'm not with him because he is a prince. I really like him because he is the way he is, simply a nice normal man," she told the magazine.

I have had a check and there is nothing in the Spanish gossip magazines of Hola, Lecturas, Semana, Que me dices, Diez minutos etc so I do not believe it. If it is true then when it is printed it will be most likely in Hola as they are regarded as the 'official magazine' of the Spanish Royal Family. Until there is something in the Spanish magazines I do not believe it as the German press and magazines are not that reliable and are just as liable to make anything up to sell newspapaers and magazines as any other publication. (I use that word very lightly!)

I don't believe that if they were dating she would make comments to journalists, even about his ex-girlfriend.
And as rattie21 said there is nothing in the Spanish press, and I didn't see anything on the many gossip shows they have on TV. And news like this would make headlines for sure.

They that Felipe stayed very impressed about her because she looks like Eva Sannum (one looks like Isabel, the other looks like Eva -_- . Now they need one that looks like Gigi Howard ) and that he even sent to her plane tickets to her came visiting him in Spain. She's not a choise because her jobs are even worst that that ones that Eva made.

One that realy make me laugth a lot was the one where Jaime Penafiel tried to guess the date of Felipe marriage . He says that Felipe will marry next year, not in the beginning because the general elections that will take place in May/April, but in the October/November, and the anoucement will be made in May. He also says that the only thing that Felipe needs to find the bride .
The most important must be tougth in last -_- This guy is realy nut .

Felipe podría haberle mandado unos billetes de avión a Lara para que venga pronto a España. Lara conoció al Príncipe hace casi dos meses en Argentina.

how come they do not talk about mercedes Bohórquez?

what i find suspicious is that the press and television gossip shows did not hunt mercedes bohorquez in the same way as diana martinez-bordiu y aznar, the german girl christine, the argentinean model lara and whomever else felipe has been linked with recently. perhaps jaime penafiel knows something we do not????????????????????

It seems that Mercedes Domeq has a boyfriend. And people said that she's very young, 21.

No one spoke and hunt her because the fact that she leaves the church with Felipe was part of the protocol: both testimonies of the weeding. People in Spain always leave the church in pairs to do less confusion.

Penafiel has already talk about her in a tv show, he said that she isn't a candidate because she's too young for Felipe and has a boyfriend. This comentaries weren't very informal, nothing like the ones that he uses to do. He treated the subject like something without any sense of existence.

mercedes is 21 and too young but diana martinez-bordiu y aznar was 21 when the press and jaime penafiel were saying that she and felipe were going to marry in april. her birthday was in late may. i do not understand why mercedes is considered too young even if she was single and diana was not?????????????????????

I also don't understand, but sometimes no one understand Jaime Peñafiel .

What i've understand from the Diana story was that some one spoke about Diana in Peñafiel presence saying that she was Felipe girlfriend. It was in a tea party in Madrid and two of the ladies that was there said some like this:
lady 1"If Jaime Peñafiel knew about her, her life would became a well because the press"
lady 2"You're rigth, thank god that no one knows Diana. If someone discover her and that she's a Martinéz Bordiú, the press willstay realy crazy because she's so perfect to the prince..."
Then Peñafiel appears on tv saying that she was Felipe girlfriend and all that story after.

Later Peñafiel said in one of his El Mundo cronics that Diana wasn't nothing more than a girl that was living her 15 minutes of fame and that he was regret for had mentioned her name:

If you see he also said that he mentioned Diana because he togth he would make her life a living hell but that in the end she loved all the mediatic atention -_-.

Other thing is that Diana is from a known spanish aristrocatic family, but that loves living in the spoligth (the son from the Marquês - Diana 2nd oncle - participated in a reallity show similar to the Big Brother -_-), so you see the kind of family this is. Later was discovered that the two ladies in the tea party belong to Diana family -_-.
Mercedes is diferent, she's from a known family related to the bullfigthing (her father is a "ganadero", suplies bull to the races) that it's very discret. People don't mess with Mercedes because from her family they would't have any kind of gossip news like the ones that Diana provide during her 15 minutes of fame.

People in Spain want that Felipe get's married, but they (especially the gossip press) also love the circus that her supode girlfriends cause -_- .

That's my interpretation from this subject.

IMO that was not nice of Mr.Peñafiel
Diana did get media attention and maybe she enjoyed it.
But still trying to complicate someone’s life on propose....

I am not Spanish but I am well aware of the Circus that surrounds the Martinez-Bordiu family both past and present. I am also aware of how the press came to propose Diana as Felipe's new fiancee.

I hear ya, sis! Although I don't like to condemn all royal girlfriends simply for the fact that they are common (Mette-Marit, Mary Donaldson, Eva, ad nauseum...) I really have a hard time finding anything redeeming in most of their personalities.

There really was nothing *Grace Kelly* about Eva: she had no charisma, was the antithesis of suave and grace, and too flamboyant about her relationship (case in point, those five hours at the hotel with Felipe - what did she think people were going to envision? The two of them playing a heated game of Canasta?) PLZ!!!!
