The Valencian locality of El Puig, where Leonor of Aragón was born, will name a park after Infanta Leonor, the first-born of the Princes of Asturias. Leonor de Aragón was born in El Puig in 1358, when her parents, Pedro IV and Leonor of Sicily, were travelling to Valencia and she was baptized in this locality, at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria.

The mayor has already invited the Princes of Asturias and their daughter to visit El Puig and its monastery, where Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía have already been.

HM the Queen said today, on her 67th anniversary, that the best gift she has ever received on the occasion of her birthday was her granddaughter, Infanta Leonor. Doña Sofía, who arrived at the clinic shortly before 2:00 in the afternoon, said that she, the Princes of Asturias, the Infantas, her sons-in-law and her grandchildren will have lunch together at the hospital, to celebrate her birthday. The King is the only one who will not attend this familiar meeting, as he’s at the Palace of La Zarzuela to follow the broadcasting of the debates on the Catalan Statute.

A spokesman of the Royal House informed that, during this familiar lunch, there will not miss the birthday cake and a toast, in honour of both Queen Sofia and Infanta Leonor.

Little Leonor is "well". She "eats and sleeps", as every new-born, although their parents, recognized the Prince of Asturias, cannot sleep all they wanted. "We slept very little; it’s normal", he said. In spite of that, the Prince has fully undertaken his new condition of father and he speaks with enthusiasm about his little girl. The Prince also answers that he didn’t find any physical similarities in his daughter.

Don Felipe still doesn’t know when his wife and daughter will leave the Rúber clinic, although he has pointed the possibility that it will be at the weekend, when the doctors authorize it.

Here in the U.S there is a magazine called vanidas excuse my spelling the issue has pictures of all the crown princesses and the princes. I would love to have bought it but I can't read spanish. Should have payed more attention in spanish class. Is this issue in Europe and is it an old one?

The first milk, the reviews and the 'commotion' around Leonor

OLALLA CERNUDA MADRID. - The environment in the Ruber is like of party. Parents who go out often to the corridor because of it of seeing if they cross with 'important' someone, nurses who give themselves the relief asking if ' already they have seen her ', safety personnel throughout... The center of all the looks is a "rather fat" girl, of little more than three kilos and a half of weight, the chestnut-colored hair and the clear eyes. The small Infanta Leonor already has been a witness of the commotion who causes her mere existence.

After passing her first hours in the incubator, for precaution, the small Infanta rests in the room under the attentive look of her parents and the medical equipment of the Ruber, headed by Fernando Mar, chief of neonatalogy, and which there attend the doctors Noemí Arribas y Sira Fernandez. They were the managers of attending to the small one after the childbirth and they are they those who realize constant reviews to verify that her state of health is good.

Besides, they were the managers of giving her first food to the small Leonor hours after being born: little milk provided with a syringe, to prevent the baby from getting used to the baby bottle and then it being much more difficult to begin with the mother lactation. The Princess of Asturias has chosen to give the breast to her daughter instead of giving her artificial milk. The doctors coincide with that that one is the best option for the baby, and besides she might give a great impulse to the campaigns in favor of the mother lactation.

During the days later to the childbirth, the workers of the hospital have been witnesses of the nice treatment of all the members of the Royal Family with the personnel of the Clinic. Sofia, for example, one walked the Queen for the UVI of neonatalogy during her first visit to the medical center to know her granddaughter because she wanted to see all the children who had born in the Ruber in the last days. The Prince Felipe, much shier that his mother, takes advantage of the crossings in the corridor with the medical personnel for sonreir widely. Henchido of pride and gratefulness, normal in a father who in the first hours recognized not to have changed diapers still, though on Wednesday he said that already he manages " well, but with very much touch " with Leonor.

But with whom it is easier to cross in a corridor of the floor of maternity of the Clinic it is with the safety personnel, which does his work of effective and extremely discreet form. So much, that almost nobody recognizes them and the doctors can realize his work with absolute normality. Or with the habitual doctor of the Royal Family, the military doctor Fernandez Tapia, who followsclosely the recovery of mother and daughter.

So many expectation raises the presence of the Princes and her daughter in the hospital that they are dozens the parents of other children who do hours out of the rooms to the wait of meeting Letizia and her girl for the corridor. But already they can go being done to the idea of that is going to be that not. The Princess of Asturias recovers rapidly of the Caesarean, but scarcely there has gone out of the suite number 10 and other two rooms reserved by Zarzuela, where she has slept the first two nights together with her daughter and her husband, the Prince Felipe.

Also there is a considerable commotion between the medical personnel that does not attend to the Princes of Asturias. Nurses who ask themselves some others if already they have seen the small one, and you will help that they take advantage of any excuse, as the bath or a review, to try to approach to begin a glimpse to the royal baby. In the medical picture of the Clinic, the birth has not supposed a special alteration of the habitual schedules. The doctor Recasens, gynaecologist of the Princess, had a childbirth on Sunday morning, you upset a few hours before the Princess Letizia was entering to give to light, and on Tuesday, the 24th some hours after Leonor's birth, he had other one.

The girl already has expired 48 hours of life, but seemed still they are not too clear. She is " rather fat and round ", said her grandmother. Those who have seen her assure that she has the chestnut-colored hair and the clear eyes, as the majority of the babies newborn children, and that it was something weeping her first hours of life, though then she has calmed down and sleeps placidly many hours a day. The most explicit on the small Leonor have been her own father - " she is very pretty "-, her mother grandmother, who said that she is "the" "most prettiest", and her aunt Elena, who defined it as " a cute ". The rest of the mortal ones will have to hope that the Princess and her daughter receive the discharge, probably on Friday, to be able to see her.

I realized my assumption was wrong.. I guessed Infanta Cristina will bring her boys, but today, she did a better thing by bringing her little Irene. she has grown quite big, and looks like having blonde hair & hopefully grow gorgeous & even cuter like her brothers. I guess we have to wait until christmas or infanta leonor's baptism to see a whole family photo?

Good to know that she's already known her playmate for the next years (and maybe her and Leo can be best friends... )

We haven't seen Leonor yet, but I can bet that those cousins will be turning a few heads in the next years (Iñaki and Felipe will surely have some headaches )
