totally agree. Id suppose if Letizia had all the press waiting itll put her under alot of stress & pressure, but if she's gone to hospital whens he wanted it etc its less stressful on her & on Felipe imo... another thing is that, when Letizia does give birth, theyll know, so its not like they wont be informed or anything

If she could not had a natural birth the last time, this time it will be the same, there is no need to be in pain so mucht time!! AND OF COURSE also because she had a cesarian only 18 months ago, this is the main reason to have a cesarian again for sure!! So things should be schedule by now, in my opinion!
I agree that because Letizia did have a c-section not too long ago, then there's a realistic chance that she might possibly have to have another one. If she does have to have another c-section, they don't have to pick the date with the doctor ahead of time. They could choose to wait until she goes into labor naturally, and when she is admitted into the hospital she could go straight to have the surgery instead of attempting a natural childbirth first. That's what my mother did with her second pregnancy.

However, with her third pregnancy, she did exactly what you said. Knowing she had to have another c-section, she scheduled it with her doctor. She picked the date and the time of day that she wanted to deliver. We don't know if that's what Felipe and Letizia are planning to do, but yes, I agree that it is a possible scenario despite his comments indicating otherwise.

There are many options here. Maybe Letizia waits to go into labor and delivers the baby naturally. Maybe Letizia waits to go into labor naturally and has a c-section then. Maybe Letizia already knows what date they want to deliver, and they've scheduled it with the doctor. All of the above are very realistic possibilities.

I don't think you are being rude by expressing your opinion. I understand exactly what you're saying.

Sorry don't mean to be so skeptical but I'm an American and our press loves to feed us a bunch of junk that isn't true. So how do we know Felipe said what is being reported? For me I believe very few things until I actually hear it come out of the mouth of the person. Did that happen in this case? Was Felipe actually shown on television saying this? Or was this just a report from a reporter that he supposedly said this? I for one have a hard time believing everything that is supposedly said by so and so. Besides it seems odd that he would even choose to give too many comments right now about the baby. I mean despite this being a royal baby the family does deserve some privacy he doesn't have to come out and say, "Hey, reporters and news stations meet me and Letizia at the hospital at this time on this date because that's when the baby is coming." He has every right to be vague and even a little misleading if he wants to be. Although I have a hard time believing things aren't planned somewhat. I mean this is a busy royal family that has a responsibility to show the baby and allow the press some access so having things scheduled and not having to have the mother worry too much is really the way to go. But if I was him I wouldn't let the press in on that, until it was absolutely necessary.

However, I must say there is a definite stir and I really believe that the baby will make her appearance this weekend sometime. I'll be real surprised if Monday comes and there's still no baby.

I think that if knew the birth date they would say it, to organize a safety like which they must organize is expensive and difficult, does not have sense that to keep a privacy, that in the end cannot be kept from any way, hides the dates if they know them. Remember you the C-section one of princess Kiko.

I think that the prince says the truth.

Well in situations such as these you can never be exact when someone will have their baby. A doctor can give you an estimated date & then its up to the baby. I mean the doctor could say April 20 and then you could have it a day, two days or 2 weeks earlier or later. So imo, Felipe could say tomorrow & she delivers 2 days later, no one should blame him or say he didnt say the truth etc, because i think thats unfair

Once again there has been demonstrated that the press speculates and lies ... according to clever some the childbirth was going to be yesterday Friday and for programmed c-section ... thing that evidently has not been. Something that really had little felt, because the Kings and the Prince had an official luncheon in the Royal Palace, and because I do not believe that they had made coincide the birth of the girl with the birthday of the dead Erika.

But good, not because we are surprised, they were swearing and perjuring that Leonor was going to be a boy...

"Once a caesarean always a caesarean" is no longer true. Nowadays, once can have avaginal birth after a caesarean section.

Not true at all, and I am speaking as a nurse. You can still have a vaginal birth even after a c-section. For the record Leonor was not a planned c-section but an emergency c-section. Dr. Recasens said at the conference after Leonor's birth that Letizia's labor was not progressing well that's why they had to do a c-section, in other words not all c-sections are planned. A fully dilated cervix is 10 cm, so we can pretty much assume that Letizia didn't reach 10 cm with Leonor. They can still try to have a vaginal delivery provided that it's not risky for both the mother and the baby.

After a woman has a c-section, I think Obstetricians PREFER any following births to be c-sections because the procedure weakens the urterus and increases possibility of rupture during vaginal delivery. I think maybe it's more politically correct these days to have vaginal births or at least attempt it. Really though, I don't care how the baby comes into the world, I'm just looking forward to seeing what she looks like.

It does not matter if is Caesarean or if it is a normal childbirth, the important thing is that she is a healthy baby !
