In order to offer the students a better education, schools have to update their electrical systems to service computers, audio-video equipment etc..Also, older schools require regular maintenance.

The California public schools that I taught in were over 50 years old. We needed to modernize to accomodate wheel chair bound students, replace our plumbing, and update for technology.

We saw the beginnings of this initiative last year during Ramadan when Queen Rania visited and adopted several schools in the Kingdom.

Salt Secondary School to be upgraded under Madrasati initiative

Her Majesty Queen Rania on Monday expressed support for the Salt Secondary School for Boys, which will be revamped under the recently launched Madrasati initiative.

During a visit to the Salt Secondary School yesterday, the Queen pledged the initiative’s commitment to develop the facility’s classrooms and enhance its educational environment.

. . . Different plans have been drawn up for the school’s development including floating a tender to upgrade its equipment, Education Minister Tayseer Nueimi said during yesterday’s meeting.
