King addresses World Islamic Economic Forum in London

His Majesty King Abdullah II said on Tuesday he was proud that despite recent crises and regional turmoil, Jordan remained a resilient and safe haven for its people and its partners.

Addressing the Ninth World Islamic Economic Forum held in London, the King said that a few weeks ago, international financial institutions reaffirmed their confidence in Jordan's stability and good growth outlook, and praised the Kingdom's progress in the face of outside shocks, and its commitment to its national reform program... - Petra news agency

London, Oct. 30 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday met with a number of British political figures, intellectual and academics within his efforts to shed light on Middle East issues, namely the Palestinian cause and Syria, in the world's decision-making capitals King Abdullah stressed that the two-state solution, which enjoys international consensus, is the only way to end decades of conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians and to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
