I think the school renovation projects started last year are great. So was the idea of QR adopting different schools. I hope they can expand this project further. Although I dont think they fall under the umbrella of the Jordan River Foundation.
The child who seems so taken with Rania's sunglasses in the latest pictures is adorable. |

Thanks for the photos. The JRF is such a worthwhile organisation and I'm glad to see the Queen promoting it abroad as well.

another article about the Aqaba visit
Queen Rania returns to Aqaba . . . In line with the area’s development programmes, Queen Rania also on Friday laid the cornerstone for the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Centre for Community Empowerment, which will serve to address challenges faced by Aqaba’s old city community. The centre will also house the new women’s cooperative, which will be established as a result of the visit, and a crafts workshop. The Queen reviewed the centre’s designs and mission goal, which is to empower residents and improve their standards of living. The foundation is committed to establishing the centre to raise awareness of child protection issues, JRF Director Valentina Qussisiya said, adding that the foundation will continue to provide loans and assistance for income-generating projects.
