Jordan News Agency (Petra) |Jordan to host the UN-supported Global Forum on Youth, Peace and Security
Amman, Aug. 5 (Petra)-- The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in partnership with the United Nations and international civil society organizations, will host the first Global Forum on Youth, Peace and Security on 21-22 August 2015, at the King’s Academy in Madaba, 35 kilometers south of Amman.

The Global Forum will be held under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and organized, on behalf of the United Nations Inter-Agency Network on Youth Development (IANYD), by the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth (OSGEY), the United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office (PBSO), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Search for Common Ground and the United Network of Young Peacebuilders.
 
Crown Prince opens Global Forum on Youth, Peace and Security

Madaba, Aug. 21 (Petra) -- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Friday said that Youth are the strategic asset and the real wealth. "This is what I see every day in the youth of my country, Jordan, and in my peers around the world." Addressing the Global Forum on Youth, Peace and Security, which kicked off today King’s Academy, Madaba, south of Amman, Prince Al Hussein said Jordan will work through its membership in the United Nations Security Council for the Council’s adoption of an agenda on youth, peace and security to ensure the inclusion of youth in efforts towards building sustainable peace and security. "This is how we grew up here in Jordan, with the involvement of all men and women. We built a resilient nation with the hard work of young people and the foresight of their fathers," the prince said.

Congrats to cpHussein, the "Amman Youth Declaration" was unanimously approved by United Nations. He wrote a nice message about this on instgram. :)

In Ajloun today, HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, inaugurates the Royal Initiative to provide public schools with heating through solar power in Ebeen School for girls, one of 50 schools benefiting from the Royal Initiative, and inaugurates the Royal Academy for Nature.

Crown Prince launches two initiatives for Cisco

Amman, Jan. 3 (Petra)-- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II, on Sunday, launched two strategic initiatives between Cisco Systems' academic programs, the Public Security Department (PSD)'s telecommunications and Information Technology Administration and the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC).
