Princess Fawzia, daughter of King Fuad I, in a stunning black and white portrait from the 1940s. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful women of the 20th century, (Cecil Beaton called her the “Asian Venus”) Fawzia married Crown Prince Muhammad Reza Pahlavi of Iran in 1939 and gave birth to his eldest child, Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi. The couple officially divorced in 1948. Princess Fawzia eventually remarried and had two more children. She resides in Egypt.
