Hey Farah ? The Kurdis as such have richer and poorer family members within the family, but I remember very clearly the time when P. Basma married Waleed Kurdi. Although no big deal in many parts of the world, eyebrows were raised in Jordan because he was in fact the son of the late King Talal's chauffeur, and as such came from a humble background. Waleed Kurdi and his brothers and sisters had gone up in the world, and at the time of his marriage to P. Basma ( second for both of them ) he was a moderately succesful businessman in Jordan. He is now hugely rich, and extremely well contected, especially in Asia. P. Basma's
first husband came from an old, well known and highly placed family of Iraqi origin. A former military man, he is now Jordan's Ambassador to London.
