King Carl XVI Gustaf in Thailand

King Carl XVI Gustaf has returned home following a three day visit, between February 17 and 19, to Thailand to attend the Baden-Powell Followship’s event. The event was on the February 17; and the following day, the King officially launched a new scout group at a school in Pattaya for visually impaired children. Carl XVI Gustaf presented the new scouts with scout neckerchiefs, as member of several Swedish scouting organisations.

Princess Lilian Falls, Taken to Hospital

The aunt of Sweden’s King Carl Gustaf XVI fell in her Stockholm home Monday, and was rushed to the hospital. The royal palace did not mention Princess Lilian’s injuries or where she is being treated, but said she is “doing well under the circumstances.” The 93 year old Welsh born Lilian underwent hip surgery last summer, following another fall.
