Crown Prince Couple in Davos

New Portraits of the Norwegian Royals

Today the Norwegian Royal Court released new official portraits of the Norwegian Royals on their website. They published new portraits of the Royal couple as well as the Crown Princely couple. 20 years ago, on January 17th 1991, King Olav V of Norway passed away. Alexander Edward Christian Frederik was born in Norfolk (England) on July 2nd 1903 as the only son of Prince Carl of Denmark and Princess Maud of Wales, who later became King Haakon VII and Queen Maud of Noway. The Royal Couple’s Events before Christmas

Nobel Peace Prize 2010

Today the Nobel Peace Prize Award ceremony took place in Oslo. This year Chinese human rights activist Liu Xiaobo was awarded for his long and non-violent fight for human rights in China. Queen Sonja’s School Award 2010

This year the Kaupanger school in Sogndal was awarded with the Queen Sonja’s School. The school was awarded with the price because it developed good training programs for diverse students.
