Princess Ingrid Alexandra Opens Her Own Sculpture Park

Yesterday Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway opened the Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park in the gardens of Oslo’s royal palace. The sculpture park which focuses on children was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of king Harald’s reign. Happy Constitution Day to Norway

On May 17th, Norway celebrated it’s National Day. As usual the Norwegian royal family appeared in traditional outfits to look at several children’s parades. Stavanger Newspaper Calls For End Norwegian Monarchy

The Norwegian newspaper ‘Stavanger Aftenblad’ said in Friday’s editorial that it is time for a constitutional evolution in Norway. An evolution from a monarchy to a republic. Crown Princess Mette-Marit Talks At The Norad Policy Forum

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the Norad Policy Forum today which was titled “last billions” of people living in poverty. The Crown Princess was greeted upon arrival by the Norad director, Jon Lomøy. Princess Mette-Marit spoke to N Orad Communications Manager Eva Bratholm about her work on HIV / AIDS and the UN AIDS program and UNAIDS. She also spoke about her recent trip to Tanzania.

Action Princes Haakon and Frederik Participate in the Birkebeinerrennet

Norwegian Royals Cheer At Holmenkollen

The Norwegian Royal Family had an exciting weekend as they attended the annual Hollenkolmen FIS World Cup Nordic. King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Astrid, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were able to congratulate the Norwegian Therese Johaug for her 1st place in langlaufing on saturday. The planned Sunday competitions were sadly cancelled due to fog.
