Scandinavian Trio to Head to Greenland Later this Month

Haakon and Mette-Marit at “Holmenkollen Relay”

Yesterday CP Haakon, CP Mette-Marit of Norway and their staff took part in the “Holmenkollen Relay”. Their team was called “The Crown Prince Couple’s Court”. Among the participants in the relay were also the Prime Minister and the Minister of foreign affairs. The CP couple’s team finished as 123 out 227 in their class. Norwegian State Visit from Canada

On Tuesday their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja welcomed Michaëlle Jean, the Governor General of Canada, and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond, to Norway. Mette-Marit of Norway at winter exercise with the Civil Defence

On March 26th Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway was seen at a winter exercise with the Civil Defense. This was the first time the Princess was seen wearing their uniform. The Princess looked healthy and relaxed. After the visit to Mexico the Crown Princess suffered from an attack of indigestion. 80 years since Olav’s and Märtha’s Wedding

Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Märtha, a Swedish Princess, were married 80 years ago, on March 21st 1929. Prince Olav and Princess Märtha met during the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928. On March 18th Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the opening of a seminar on indigenous populations at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, had a guided tour to Sala Maya and Sala Mexica and attended the opening of the exhibition by ambassador Solem, over Sala Mexica. Märtha Louise: first public engagement after maternity leave

On March 17th 2009 Princess Märtha Louise of Norway attended the opening ceremony of a light fountain at St. Olav square in Oslo. On the 2nd day of the 4 day visit to Mexico Princess Mette-Marit visited the HIV/AIDS center clinica in Condesa. A New Biography of Queen Sonja

Ingar Sletten Kolloen has been selected as the man to write a new biography on Queen Sonja of Norway. Christening of Emma Tallulah Behn

The christening of Emma Tallulah Behn, the youngest daughter of Princess Martha Louise, took place on January 20th 2009. Emma’s godparents were her grandmother Marianne Solberg Behn, who carried her to the christening font, HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Alexia, Christian Udnæss, Carl Christian Christensen, Anbjørg Sætre Håtun and Sigvart Dagsland.
