Introducing Prince Tassilo zu Fürstenberg

The Hereditary Prince and Princess zu Fürstenberg have introduced their newborn son in a photograph released to the German media. Prince Tassilo Heinrich Christian was born on December 24th, and is the couple’s first child. Prince Christian and Princess Jeanette were married in September 2010. The photograph was taken at Schloss Heiligenberg, the family seat of the zu Fürstenbergs in Donaueschingen.

On This Day: Death of Margaret of Prussia

Today marks the sixtieth anniversary of the death of the Dowager Landgravine of Hesse, Margaret of Prussia. Born in April 1872 at the New Palace in Potsdam, Princess Margaret was the youngest child of Frederick III, German Emperor and Victoria, Princess Royal. Her siblings were the future Wilhelm II, Charlotte of Saxe-Meiningen, Prince Heinrich, Prince Sigismund, Viktoria of Schaumburg-Lippe, Prince Waldemar and Sophie of Greece. Hereditary Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Pregnant

The Hereditary Prince and Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha are expecting their first child. The infant is expected to make his or her appearance in late spring 2014. The news was confirmed by royal historian Arturo Beeche. Prince Hubertus, the elder son of Andreas, Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and Princess Kelly were married in May 2009.
