Princess Benedikte Returns To Work After Prince Richard’s Death

Princess Benedikte of Denmark has returned to official engagements following the death of her husband, Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, last month. She attended a board meeting of the Queen Ingrid Honorary Grant at the restaurant Nimb in Tivoli on Thursday. It was attended by five other members of the board. The meeting was the Princess’s first public engagement since Prince Richard’s death on March 14.

The Princess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, born Princess Alexandra of Edinburgh, died seventy-five years ago on April 16, 1942 at the age of 63. The engagement between Lord Max Percy and Princess Nora zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg has been announced in The Telegraph. Lord Max is the younger son of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, while the Princess is the third daughter and youngest child of Albrecht Ernst, Fürst zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg and his wife Angela. The Hereditary Prince and Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha welcomed their third child into the world on Wednesday. Newborn Princess Madeleine enjoys “great health” according to the family’s spokesperson. The new Princess’s full name is Madeleine Aurelia Victoria Carin.  Hubertus and Kelly, who married in 2009, already have two children: Princess Katharina, born 2014, and Phillipp, born 2015.
