Queen Beatrix Reopens the Royal Palace in Amsterdam

Yesterday queen Beatrix reopened the royal palace on Dam square in Amsterdam. The palace was closed for 3,5 years as the interior was adapted. The palace, that was originally built as a city hall in 1648, got new kitchens and bathrooms, furniture was restaured, 45.000 kilo of asbestos was removed and the chandeliers that were found on the attic were restaured and used in several rooms of the palace. Busy Week For Queen Beatrix…

On wednesday HM visited the RIVM (National Institute for Health and Environment) in Bilthoven, on the occasion of it’s 100th anniversary. Dutch Royals Visit Queen Juliana’s Exposition

On Saturday, queen Beatrix accompanied by most of her family, visited the exposition ’100 years Juliana’ at palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn. Máxima talks Microfinance in IJsselstein

On June 4th, Princess Máxima attended the National Microfinance Meeting in IJsselstein, Utrecht. The Princess attended the event on behalf of the Council for Microfinance. Queen Beatrix unviels Statues of her Parents

Queen Beatrix today unveiled a bronze-plated statue of her late parents, Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard. The statue lies in the grounds of Soestdijk Palace, which was the home of Juliana and Bernhard from 1937 to their deaths in May and December 2004, respectively.
