On Wednesday, Queen Margrethe handed out the “Queen’s Watch” award to guardsman Jens Høgild Nørgaard at a ceremony on the Rosenburg drill ground in Copenhagen. The “Queen’s Watch” award is a traditional award given out annually to a guardsman who has been nominated by his friends and officers. For more information, please see this thread.

Crown Prince Frederik attended the opening of the International Scientific Congress on Climate Change hosted by the University of Copenhagen yesterday. Frederik attended the event in the morning, and was then hospitalised with a broken fibia suffered during his family holiday to Switzerland late last month. It has been reported that Crown Prince Frederik has undergone surgery to repair a fractured leg. He sustained the injury during the family’s skiing holiday in Switzerland a few weeks ago.
