Crown Princess Mary visits Afghanistan

Crown Princess Mary has recently returned from a secret visit to Danish troops serving in Afghanistan. The visit took place on November 29 and 30. Visiting the province of Helmand in southern Afghanistan, Mary was joined by the President of the Folketinget, Thor Pedersen, and the Danish Defence Minister, Soren Gade. Book about Royal Arctic Expedition

The dreary weather in Vietnam today created some issues for the Danish royals on the fourth day of their state visit. Princess Marie at UNESCO Conference

Princess Marie yesterday opened a UNESCO environmental conference for school leaders from both Asia and Europe in Soenderborg. The 100 educationalists will be working together on joint projects over the internet to help better the environment, which is, as Princess Marie said, very relevant with the climate summit being held in Copenhagen next month. Princess Mary launches 2009 Christmas Seal

Crown Princess Mary yesterday launched the 2009 Christmas Seal (Julemærkefonden), at the Tivoli Amusement Park. Frederik & Anne Launch New Save the Children Campaign
