Belgian King and Queen attend Father Damien Mass in Tremelo

After 26 years, the feud between the d’Udekem d’Acoz family finally has been settled. The feud started 26 years ago when Mathilde’s paternal grandmother, countess Suzanne d’Outryve d’Ydewalle, died. Prince Laurent has been admitted to the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, in Brussels, since last Sunday, due to pneumonia. The Prince was on holiday in Sardinia, visiting friends, when he suddenly realized he was getting feverish. Prince Philippe visits Fire-Struck Nursing Home

Prince Philippe returned from his holiday in France to visit the nursing home which was struck by a terrible fire last Thursday evening. Nine of the residents died in the fire, which was probably caused by a short circuit in a television or an electrical fan. King Albert Offers to Pay Part of Renovation Costs

King Albert II of Belgium has offered the Belgian government to help them to pay for the renovation costs necessary to freshen up the Royal Palace in Brussels.
