Norwegian Royals Cheer At Holmenkollen

The Norwegian Royal Family had an exciting weekend as they attended the annual Hollenkolmen FIS World Cup Nordic. King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Astrid, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were able to congratulate the Norwegian Therese Johaug for her 1st place in langlaufing on saturday. The planned Sunday competitions were sadly cancelled due to fog.

Palace Releases Details of Fabiola’s Inheritance

Almost fourteen months after Queen Fabiola of the Belgians passed away, the palace announced that her inheritance has finally been distributed. The sole benificiary seems to be the ‘Aid Fund of the Queen’. The fund helps Belgians in need and is currently chaired by Queen Mathilde. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of The Belgians continued their never-ending circle of New Years receptions. Yesterday they received the Belgian authorities at the Royal Palace in Brussels. Fürstin Eilika of Leiningen Dies A Few Days Before Her 88th Birthday

Local press reports that Dowager Fürstin Eilika of Leiningen has died this tuesday in Amorbach, aged 87. The princess died a few days before her 88th birthday on February 2nd. Yesterday, princess Teresa of Orleans-Bragança died at the age of 91. The princess died in her home at the Rua D. Afonso Henriques in Estoril, Portugal.
