Baby Girl for Zara and Mike Tindall

Buckingham Palace has announced that Zara Phillips has given birth to a healthy baby daughter. The infant was born today, January 17, at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Félix and Claire of Luxembourg Expecting First Child

The Grand Ducal Court of Luxembourg has announced that Prince Félix and Princess Claire are expecting their first child. “Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Duchess, with great joy, announce that Prince Félix and Princess Claire are expecting their first child,” read the statement released by the court. The infant is due in June. Prince Félix and Princess Claire were married in September last year.

Anne-Dorte of Rosenborg Passes Away

Countess Anne-Dorte of Rosenborg, the widow of Count Christian of Rosenborg, passed away on January 2nd. She was 66. She passed away peacefully at the Gentofte Hospital, where she had been admitted after Christmas with respiratory problems caused by her long-running battle with throat cancer. Denmark’s Princess Marie has added two new patronages to her portfolio, bringing her total to thirteen. A new painting of the Danish Royal Family was unveiled last week, ahead of its display at Amalienborg. Thomas Kluge, a Danish artist who has previously painted portraits of members of the family on numerous occasions, was the man commissioned to create the portrait.
