King Felipe Swears In A New Spanish Government

After almost a full year with an official government, Spain’s new minority government led by Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, was sworn in today at Zarzuela Palace in front of King Felipe VI. Thirteen ministers either swore or promised to uphold their positions in relation to the constitution during the meeting. Prime Minister Rajoy won a parliamentary vote of confidence last Saturday to form a government.

Pope Francis Meets With King and Queen of Sweden in Lund

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia today had a private audience with Pope Francis at the Royal Hall in Lund, as part of the Pope’s visit to Sweden to mark the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in Sweden.
