On Monday, Princess Laurentien of The Netherlands made the trip north to Denmark where she had a meeting with Princess Marie. The two women discussed literacy and ways to improve the reading skills of children. Also present for the meeting was Danish Minister for Education, Merete Riisager. Margrethe and Henrik Celebrate Golden Wedding Aboard The Dannebrog

The Queen and Prince Consort of Denmark have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary privately abroad the Danish royal yacht Dannebrog today. A few photographs of the couple were released on Saturday, as they relaxed on the ship and presented the Dannebrog crew with commemorative medals minted to mark the anniversary. Abdication Law Approved By Japanese Parliament

King of Morocco Promotes Sister-in-Law To ‘Royal Highness’

An official bulletin published by the Moroccan Royal Court on June 8th has announced that King Mohammed VI has promoted his sister-in-law, Lalla Oum Keltoum, to the style of Royal Highness.
