Denmark’s Prince Consort, Prince Henrik, yesterday began the celebrations to mark his 75th birthday. Denmark Votes “Yes” for Equal Primogeniture

The Danish Constitution on the Act of Succession will be ammended to allow the monarch’s first-born child of either gender to succeed the throne, following the successful referendum on equal primogeniture this weekend. Máxima talks Microfinance in IJsselstein

On June 4th, Princess Máxima attended the National Microfinance Meeting in IJsselstein, Utrecht. The Princess attended the event on behalf of the Council for Microfinance. Royal Dachshund Bites Royal Bodyguard

Evita, the 11-year-old dauchshund of Prince Henrik, has biten a royal bodyguard, leaving the man in hospital needing stitches and a tetanus shot. The incident occured on Saturday May 30th, when the guard was walking Evita around the gardens of the Danish royal summer residence, Fredensborg Palace. Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the Manilla School’s jubilee celebrations today in Djurgården. Queen Beatrix unviels Statues of her Parents
