Death of Former Cambodian King

The former King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihanouk, has died. He passed away in a Beijing hospital today after suffering a heart attack. He was eighty-nine years old. Norodom Sihanouk was King of Cambodia from 1941 to 1955, and then again from 1993 to 2004, when he abdicated in favour of his son Norodom Sihamoni. Prussians Expecting First Child

The Prince and Princess of Prussia are expecting their first child. The news has been confirmed by Michaela Blankart, general secretary of the family. No information was given about the Princess’s due date, where the infant will be born or its gender. Tenth Anniversary of Prince Claus’s Death

October 6th, 2012 marks the tenth anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Claus of the Netherlands’ passing. He was the husband of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, and the father of His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange. Countess Alix de Lannoy Passes Away

Countess Alix de Lannoy, the mother of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume’s fiancée Stéphanie, passed away yesterday, the Grand Ducal Court confirmed today. The Countess, aged 70, passed away after suffering a stroke. She was born on September 20, 1941 and married Count Philippe de Lannoy in July 1965. The Countess is survived by her husband, eight children and numerous grandchildren.

Princess Marie to Visit Cambodia

Princess Marie is set to visit Cambodia in October in her capacity as patron of DanChurchAid. She will visit the South East Asian country between October 9th and 12th, to view projects run by the organisation there.
