Thailand’s King Bhumbiol Adulyadej Has Died, Palace Confirms

It has been confirmed this evening, local time, that King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand has passed away at the age of 88. He was monarch for 70 years, having celebrated the milestone in June this year, and was the world’s longest reigning monarch. Princess Christina Diagnosed With Leukaemia

The Swedish Royal Court has announced this morning that Princess Christina, Mrs Magnuson, sister of King Carl XVI Gustaf, has been diagnosed with chronic leukaemia and will undergo treatment this autumn. Thai King’s Health ‘Unstable’, Palace Says In Rare Statement

King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand is in an “unstable” condition at the Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, the Thai Royal Palace said in a statement released late Sunday night. At the Museo del Prado today, Queen Letizia was present at the board meeting for international patrons of the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation. During the meeting the attendees discussed the Museum’s bicentennial, as well as the Foundation’s 2016 projects.
