Former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad, Has Died

It has been announced that Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the former Emir of Qatar, passed away on Sunday. He was 84 years old. The Sheikh was Emir of Qatar from 1972 to 1995, when was ousted in a coup by his son, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa. His grandson, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, is the current Emir.
