Prince Philip Officially Opens BA i360 in Brighton

The Duke of Edinburgh was in Brighton today to officially open the British Airways i360 vertical cable car, the first in the world. Sitting adjacent to the remains of West Pier, the BA i360 offers 360-degree views of the seafront from its peak height of 162 metres. It has been announced that Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the former Emir of Qatar, passed away on Sunday. He was 84 years old. The Sheikh was Emir of Qatar from 1972 to 1995, when was ousted in a coup by his son, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa. His grandson, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, is the current Emir.
