An Engagement in Monaco! Louis Ducruet To Wed Marie Chevallier

Happy news out of Monaco this morning, as Princess Stéphanie confirms the engagement of her son, Louis Ducruet, to his long-time girlfriend Marie Chevallier. The Princess made the announcement via the Princely Palace, saying she was “pleased” with the news. The couple is currently travelling through Vietnam. Louis, 25, is the only son of Princess Stephanie and her first husband, Daniel Ducruet. He is currently 12th in line to the Monegasque throne.

Prince Henrik’s Casket Transferred to Amalienborg

At 10am this morning, local time, a hearse carrying the casket of the late Prince Henrik of Denmark – who died Tuesday evening at the age of 83 – left Fredensborg Palace to transport the late Prince to Copenhagen ahead of his funeral next week. Princess Ariane Breaks Wrist During Skating Accident

The RVD released a statement this morning saying that Princess Ariane, the ten-year-old daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, has suffered a broken wrist. The injury occurred on Sunday when the Princess was out skating, and was confirmed during a hospital visit on Thursday morning. Funeral Details of Prince Henrik Announced

At a press briefing this morning in Copenhagen, the Danish Royal Court announced that Prince Henrik’s funeral service will take place on Tuesday February 20 at the Christiansborg Slotskirke. The Danish Royal Court has made the sad announcement that Prince Henrik, husband of Queen Margrethe II, has passed away at the age of 83. “His Royal Highness Prince Henrik died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday 13 February at 11.18pm, at Fredensborg Palace. Her Majesty the Queen and their two sons were at his side,” the statement read. A bulletin from the Danish Royal Court this morning has announced that Prince Henrik has been transferred from Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet to Fredensborg Palace. Flashback Friday: Death of Princess Margaret

February 9, 2002: Members of the public read the announcement hanging on the gates of Buckingham Palace that Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II, had died earlier that morning at the age of 71. The Prince, who is 83, has been at Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet since January 28th, when he returned to Denmark from Egypt for medical treatment.
