Ras Al Khaimah Ruler Dies at age 92

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has passed away at the age of 92. Sheikh Saqr ruled Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, since 1948. Official mourning has been declared in the United Arab Emirates, with flags at half-mast on ministries, government departments and institutions for a week starting on Wednesday.

Queen Rania undergoes Medical Procedure in New York

Jordan’s Queen Rania is recovering in a New York hospital Monday after undergoing a medical procedure to correct an irregular heart rhythm. In a statement, the royal court said, “The procedure went very smoothly and Her Majesty is well and in good spirits. Jordan’s King & Queen help Educate 200 Orphans

Jordan’s King Abdullah and Queen Rania are helping to educate 200 orphans by paying their tuition fees along with accommodation, transport, books, stationary and medical insurance. Qatari Royals’ Cars get Clamped in London

Police wardens clamped two sports car worth of £1.5 million outside Harrods earlier this week while the owners, members of the Qatari Ruling Family, were believed to be shopping inside Harrods at the time. Queen Rania makes NY Times ‘Best Selling Author’ List

The New York Times has recently published their best-selling list of books which lists Queen Rania’s book “The Sandwich Shop”, as the children’s best-seller. Queen Rania was on a recent tour of America, to cities including Chicago and New York, to promote her book on cross-cultural understanding in schools and book stores.
