Grand Duke Henri Cancels Engagements

Luxembourg’s Grand Duke has cancelled all upcoming engagements due to being seriously ill with broncho-pneumonia, the same disease for which his aunt, Queen Fabiola of Belgium, was hospitalised in Brussels.

The Grand Duke said in a statement issued by the Grand-Ducal Palace that he hopes to resume his duties “as soon as possible.” The last public engagement he carried out was ten days ago, an audience with the President of the German Parliament.
