Crown Prince Frederik was announced on January 29th as the royal patron of Soldaterlegatet; a new fund which will provide grants to Danish soldiers who have returned from missions abroad injured, or to the family members of those killed in combat.

Frederik has taken great interest in those serving Denmark abroad, visiting Danish soldiers in Afghanistan last December; and cancelling a scheduled royal hunt in respect of the deaths of two Danish soldiers a few weeks later.

More information on Frederik’s new patronage and any future events related to Soldaterlegatet can be found here.
