Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima started their fifth and last day of their Indian state visit with a boat trip around Alleppey, a municipality in the South Indian state of Kerala.
This area, in 2018, was hit by severe flooding. During the cruise the Royals Couple attended a discussion focused on better water management in order to prevent or limit such natural disasters.
Purpose of the discussion was to explain the measures proposed to prevent flooding in the future and how Dutch water experts can help the Indian counterpart.
Then took place a discussion about the agricultural development in the area.
After the boat tour the King and the Queen met with the Dutch press
