Yesterday, Tuesday March 6, Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the WCU-DANCE project (World Children’s Unity Dance – We See You Dance) at the Petit Château in Wijnegem, a municipality in the province of Antwerp.

The WCU-DANCE is a non-profit organization that aims to connect through dancing, music and singing children and young people from different backgrounds. The organization offers children an annual dance competition, many dance workshops and a variety of projects like movement work, yoga, sounds and meditation.

The Queen met with school children, young people and volunteers to be informed about the initiatives of the organization. During the visit the children performed a traditional Indian hand dance.

The WCU-DANCE is supported by the Music Connects project of the Queen Mathilde Fund, which the Queen is Honorary President of.
