Saudi billionaire Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud was freed on Saturday after nearly three months of detention at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Riyadh.

The prince was kept in custody at the luxurious prison among dozens of prominent members of the Saudi Royal Family and businessmen as part of a sweeping crackdown on corruption led by his cousin, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Prince Al Waleed, 62, spoke to Reuters exclusively on Friday, saying he expected to keep full control over his wealth and foreign investments following his release. He noted that the authorities had treated him well during his detention and denied any rumors of ill-treatment.
