Queen Máxima’s Working Visit To Rotterdam
Today, Thursday January 11, Her Majesty Queen Máxima of The Netherlands paid a working visit to the youth foundation Time for Action in Rotterdam.
Time for Action, established in 2011, aims to “provide help and networks to lonely and vulnerable people and encourages young people to be committed to the people in their environment who have little or no network”. The foundation is active in 15 cities across the country with local youth networks that help vulnerable and lonely human beings.
Queen Máxima visited the office of the Network New Rotterdam. During the visit the Queen was informed by the initiators of Time for Action about the origins, growth, the future of the organization, how local networks are supported and what challenges there are. The Queen also met with some of the volunteers who talked about their experiences with the network, how they are involved in it and how this work it is important not only to the recipient but it is also very instructive for them.
