As patron of the Lawn Tennis Association, the Duchess of Cambridge has today visited the National Tennis Centre in London to view Tennis For Kids coaching sessions.

Catherine – who donned a black and white tracksuit and Nike runners – joined the youngsters for a number of tennis-focused drills on Court 1, working with them on ball and racquet tasks to improve their hand-eye coordination. She later took part in a training session run by Coach Core apprentices, as part of an initiative established by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry five years ago.

The Duchess also met with British tennis stars Johanna Konta and Alfie Hewett, who has won Wheelchair Doubles titles at Wimbledon and the US Open.

The visit was the first solo engagement Catherine has done since her third pregnancy was announced by Kensington Palace in September. She is due to give birth in April, the Palace recently confirmed.
