On September 29, Princess Estelle and her mother Crown Princess Victoria visited the Askölaboratorium (“Ask Laboratory”) at the Baltic Sea Centre in Stockholm University.

The aim of the trip was so that little Princess Estelle could learn about her surroundings by herself. Tina Elfwing, the director of the Baltic Sea Centre, said “It is very clear that Victoria talks about these questions with Estelle. It was noticed that it was not the first time Estelle received information about what the problem was in the ocean, it is something they talk about at home.”

Estelle took a shine to the sea creatures she was shown, reportedly naming one of them ‘China’. She and her mother also went land washing in the lake at the centre, where young Estelle showed herself as being “incredibly knowledgable and curious” according to Elfwing.
