A Royal Garden Party in Edinburgh

Over 8,000 people have attended a garden party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh today hosted by Queen Elizabeth, who was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of York.

Among the guests were veterans of the Women’s Royal Naval Service and members of Police Scotland.

Earlier in the day, Queen Elizabeth received the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, in an audience at the Palace (Sturgeon later attended the garden party after a quick outfit change). Her Majesty also held an investiture, where she presented Scottish residents with various honours.
