Wearing a shocking pink dress from Greta, pregnant Princess Sofia of Sweden handed over graduation medals to the ‘Sophia Sisters’, nurses who have trained with at the Sophiahemmet University College.

Sofia, who is due to give birth to her second child in September, presented each of the graduate nurses with a necklace bearing one silver and one blue cross.

The Princess is the Honorary Chairman of the Sophiahemmet, a position she has held since January 2016 when she took over from Princess Christina. The Sophiahemmet was founded in 1889 by Queen Sofia who saw how Florence Nightingale was implementing new methods of caring for patients during a visit to London in 1881, and decided to have a similar system in Sweden.
