During the second garden party of the year at Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth and members of the Royal Family have observed a minute’s silence in memory of the 22 people killed in Monday night’s terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.

The Queen was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and Princess Eugenie of York for the garden party, which hosted 8,000 people from across Britain in the Palace gardens.

Following the minute’s silence, the British national anthem was played before the royal family began circulating through the guests.

In tribute to the late Sir Roger Moore, whose death at age 89 was announced earlier on Tuesday, the Band of the Coldstream Guards played the theme song from the James Bond film series.
