Man’s Best Friend: Prince Charles Cosies Up To Puppy Dog At Hospital

The Prince of Wales made friends with a Miniature Pinscher during his visit to Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital in central London today. He was quite happy holding the dog, named Little Dorrit, as he spoke with her owner on the benefits of therapy dogs for the older hospital patients.

Charles then spoke with doctors and nurses – as well as volunteers – who provide care to the elderly, particularly those who suffer from dementia or who have suffered falls that have impacted their health.

He was visiting the hospital as patron of the British Geriatrics Society, which this year is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
