The visit was a busy one, with His Majesty holding talks with Prime Minister Victor Ciorbea and members of the Government executive, a lunch with members of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, as well as visiting Patriarch Teoctist of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Since 1997, the Royal Family have continued to undertake many public and official activities, totalling more than 10,000 visits around the country and 310 visits abroad.
