King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of the Belgians today visited the town of Verviers in the province of Liège. They paid visits to a number of local organisations whilst in the area.

Their first stop was to Téléservice where they met people who have received support from the organisation, which focuses its services on the ‘social integration of people in precarious situations’. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were also able to take part in some cooking sessions – they helped to make cake and spéculoos, a traditional spiced biscuit.

Afterwards, the King and Queen visited The Faktory to learn about their work assisting start-up musicians and app developers. The final visit of the day was to the training centre Construform which provide training for trade students.
