The 41st International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo kicked off this evening with the opening performance at the Fontvieille Big Top.

As they do each year, several members of the Grimaldi family were in attendance for the performance. Princess Stéphanie, who is the President of the Festival, was accompanied by her brother, Prince Albert II, and two of her children, Louis and Pauline Ducruet.

Wearing the Festival’s official scarves over their outfits, the family sat front row centre for acts by contortionist Rich Miteku, Sky Angels and the elephant troop of Erwin Frankello.
