Queen Máxima Attends ‘Future of Finance’ Conference
As Special Advocate for the UN Secretary General for Inclusive Finance for Development, Her Majesty Queen Máxima was present today, Monday September 26, at the conference “Future of Finance” held at the Theater Hangaar in Katwijk in the province of South Holland.
The conference, organized by the Dutch Development Finance Company (FMO), aims to exchanging views and experiences in the field of inclusive finance in developing countries.
Focus of the conference was the importance of technology finance that helps to expand the inclusive finance in the developing countries.

At the event, which started yesterday and will last until Tuesday, participated more than 350 national and international bankers from over 60 countries that exchanged experiences and views during various activities.
Queen Máxima received the book “Banking for a Better World” written by Nanno Kleiterp, the outgoing CEO of FMO.
The Dutch Development Finance Company (FMO) is a development bank created in 1970 by the Dutch Government, commercial banks, the national employers’ association, labor unions, and private investors that aims to promote sustainable growth of the private sector and it’s focused on three sectors: financial institutions, energy and agriculture.
