Feliz Cumpleaños Reina Letizia! Queen of Spain Fêted During Opening of Royal Theatre Season

Queen Letizia celebrated her 44th birthday today, and during an evening at the Royal Theatre for the opening performance of the season, the orchestra performed a rendition of ‘Feliz Cumpleaños’ for the birthday girl.

The Queen was joined by her husband, King Felipe, for Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Otello. At the conclusion of the show, the royal couple went backstage to congratulate the actors, musicians and crew on their performance.

She wore a black cocktail dress from Felipe Varela which featured a v-neckline and large embroidered lace at the hem.

Princess Miriam of Bulgaria and her son Prince Boris were also present.
