Crown Princess Mary of Denmark gave the Strødammen Day Centre in Copenhagen its first royal visitor since 1967 when she visited the facility today.

The centre, which provides activity programs, physiotherapy and IT training for adults who have suffered brain damage as a result of a heart attack or stroke, is this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, prompting the visit from the Crown Princess (who is also patron of two related charities: the Danish Brain Injury Association and the Danish Stroke Association).

Mary, wearing a pale blue-grey dress with a pleated neckline and matching belt, spent an hour and half speaking with the 85 members of the centre and seeing what activities they were doing. “It has been a great pleasure to be involved,” she said as she left the centre.
