Queen Rania’s Joins The International Rescue Committee Board of Directors

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan has joined The International Rescue Committee (IRC) as board of directors.

In a statement released by the longest standing NGO which is based in New York, David Miliband, IRC President and CEO said “We are truly honored that Queen Rania has agreed to join IRC’s distinguished and active board of directors.” He went on saying, “She has an extraordinary passion for making a difference on behalf of the most vulnerable, and will bring a distinctive experience and viewpoint to IRC’s board, especially on the increasingly vital issue of education for refugees and other displaced people.”

Queen Rania is a board member of the United Nations Foundation (UNF). UNCIEF’s first Eminent Advocate for Children and Honorary Chair of the UN Girl’s Education Initiatives. It doesn’t stop there, Queen Rania of Jordan attends forums and meetings around the world on eduction, poverty, children and women.
