Prince William Opens New Breast Cancer Centre at Royal Marsden
The Duke of Cambridge has officially opened the new Ralph Lauren Centre for Breast Cancer Research at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea.
During his visit to the new centre, which was funded by fashion designer Ralph Lauren and other Royal Marsden contributors, Prince William was given a tour of the new centre’s laboratories before spending time meeting with cancer patients and doctors in the medical day unit.
He was joined by Mr Lauren himself during the tour and opening, as they jointly unveiled a commemorative plaque and then had a reception with friends of The Royal Marsden. William said that after “seeing the courage and spirit of patients I met today, it would be hard not to feel positive about the work being done here.”Filed under The United Kingdom
